Teaching Philosophy

To cultivate advanced nurse practitioners equipped with research, evidence-based management, communication skills, and a spirit of teamwork. They are expected to possess compassion for the underprivileged and a commitment to providing care in rural areas. The goal is to enable them to assess potential physical and mental health issues, effectively propose nursing interventions for disease prevention and improvement, and offer health consultations. By engaging deeply in communities and families, the primary objectives are to achieve comprehensive, holistic, and continuous care and to focus on the care of disadvantaged populations in rural areas.

Cultivation Goals

  • Short-term Goal:To train advanced nursing roles—Family Nurse Practitioners (FNPs)—capable of delivering holistic care, emphasizing research, practice, academics, and management.
  • Mid-term Goal:To expand the scope of advanced nursing roles by focusing holistic care on future aging and super-aging populations, particularly those with disabilities and dementia, fostering the roles of community or family medicine nurse practitioners.
  • Long-term Goal:To align with international trends in advanced nursing workforce development, promote international collaboration in nursing education, plan international student exchange and internship programs, and cultivate graduate students with a global perspective.
